Hello, Aidan... this blog belongs to me, Francisca, and my soul mate, Lordson. You can read more in \about us\ (second top tab). Anything we can do for you? If you know Alberto, let him know Bill K is looking for him. :-)

Glenn, thanks for leaving the gracious comments. We sure appreciate the compliments, especially coming from a prodigious blogger and hugely talented artist like yourself! See you on the tennis court! Let's do another game of doubles soon. And when do we visit your new studio?

Hi Lordson & Francisca, I finally got your name written with an "i" instead of "e". How this happened is unknown to me, ha ha. Enjoyed reading your blogs and can the two of you really write! I love the way Francisca writes, where there's poetry in every line. Lordson on the other hand has the talent to write like a historian. I really enjoyed reading your blogs and I hope to read more in the near future. Maybe what you two ought to do is write more blogs and play less tennis for your readers' sake, especially for me, right? Enjoyed bumping into you both in the physical tennis courts and here in cyberspace. Take care and God bless.

Thanks for your note, Ceal!

Yes, you are so right: the hardest part of all this for the government, or even the factories, is that it's not just a simple matter of rearranging vacation times for workers. A large number of people will always want to go home for the new year, the big family reunion time.

We are in Manila as I write, so we are plenty warm now. Thanks!

Gung Hay Fat Choy, Francisca and Lordson! Congrats on blog! And what a nice treat to see the photos of family and friends. We saw reports of the incredible masses of people trying to get home. So hard to imagine. Do you think the government will come up with ways to spread the travel out a little? Hard to mess with tradition, though. Family is so important. And from what I understand that's the one time of the year most factories are closed and people can get time off. Workers can't just say "I'm going home for the weekend" anytime they'd like to. Cheers and stay warm!

hey. The photo of the Mount Pinatubo eruption is by Alberto Garcia, Corbis/SABA Press Photos Inc. It appears in a book titled "Geology" 3rd edition by Donna Whitney & others (i think)

Hope you can now give credit to him. It is an amazing photo. One which has set me on a hunt to find the origional photographer (am i'm still trying to contact him), as I would like an original quality blown up size to hang on my wall.

All the best, Bill
